AUTOMATION ENGINEER - PYTHON, INCLUDING THREADING, MEMORY MANAGEMENT, COLLECTIONS/DATA STRUCTURES, RDBMS, SCIPY, NUMPY, PANDA

Summary:

To ensure the operations of the global Information Security team are scalable, efficient and effective, you will be part of a small team of programmers and scripters that automate routine IT/Security operational processes and make them part of a larger framework of event-driven modules. You will write scripts that interface and process data from various platforms such as ticketing systems, big data log management, various anti-malware systems and asset inventory systems. Based on the requirements of the security team you ensure the code has the appropriate business logic applied, the data is processed correctly and any associated automated actions are correctly initiated.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Strong background in Object Oriented programming and Scripting languages
- Pragmatic programmer
- Provides structured and sustainable code
- Good knowledge of inner workings of Python including Threading, Memory management, Collections/Data Structures, RDBMS, SciPY, NumPy, Panda
- Following the Python idioms and techniques, as well as new trends to
- Good understanding of corporate IT server and network infrastructure components
- Creative with ideas around IT automation. Experienced in translating these ideas into code
- Strong Linux background
- Excellent knowledge of XML/JSON
- Well-versed in web technologies such as HTTP listeners, HTML and JavaScript
- Proven knowledge of different Client Server communication models including REST and SOAP
- Experience with GIT or similar distributed version control system
- Good understanding of SDLC
- JDBC & Database integration technologies
- Exposure to big data techniques
