Projektbeschreibung
Automation engineer required to provide support to the site team in identifying, resolving and proactively maintaining a high level of automation process control. The site systems include Emerson Delta V, ABB Advant, Rockwell Pharma Suite, Allen Bradley PLC's and SAP for ERP.
Based in Cork for a 6 month initial contract they are looking for someone to support the production operation (through training, advice, troubleshooting) and ongoing business development
Role and Responsibilities:
Customer Focus
* Providing day to day DCS Technical Support to Production (Fully documenting all system changes for ongoing reference for system users)
* Managing Plant information by ensuring that all achieving, storing and retrieval of data complies with regulatory requirements
* Providing hands on training and coaching to the Production team assisting them in learning about the DCS, in a visible and approachable way
* Designing and providing DCS training courses for the plant team (Emerson Delta V and ABB Advant)
* Developing documentation for supporting the operation of the DCS eg SOP's
* Carrying out system upgrades
* Carrying out day to day preventative maintenance on the DCS
* Monitoring and validating overall change controls which includes carrying out system validations
* Managing the history of DC Systems and the continuous information which is generated
* Initiating and influencing new system developments with the Plant Team
Projects
* Proactively providing an automation involvement in multidisciplinary project/process engineering teams in production, quality operations, customer services and other departments. This will involve defining functional specification, software design, input to hardware issues etc.
* Keeping up to date with regulatory guidelines, and their impact on automation issues
* Incorporating regulatory guidelines into system SOP's (Change Control and System Operability) and communicating them to production and other service groups (Mtn./QA/Project Engineering)
* Playing a leading role in managing automation projects, this includes planning, scoping, costing and leading the people through the project
