Automation Design Engineer - Biotech Processes

Projektbeschreibung
ROLE FUNCTION
The project is looking for an Automation Software Design Engineer (ASDE) with experience in Biotech Processes (Upstream, Downstream, CIP, SIP). This engineer will work closely with the Process Engineers to develop and author requirements and design specifications for subsequent software coding by others. The ASDE works closely with these software developers to ensure the design is properly implemented. The ASDE may develop test specifications and execute testing against these specifications as part of the computer system validation practices.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop automation functional specifications and software design specifications by working closely with Process Engineers and operations representatives
- Work collaboratively with the Process Engineers to establish and document the automation requirements and design
- Work collaboratively with the Application Software Developers to produce the automation software that meets these specifications
- Lead/Participate in design reviews
- Potentially assist in automation support necessary for start-up and commissioning of the facility
- Proactively work with the Computer System Validation Engineer to ensure these deliverables and work practices comply with the project validation and documentation requirements
- Abide by all safety requirements and procedures pertaining to their role
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years working experience in Pharmaceutical engineering, operations, or manufacturing
- Biotech process/automation design experience
- Preferable, 5 or more years experience in batch automation design
- Preferable, Instrumentation knowledge
- BS Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated team work abilities
- Knowledge of GMP'S, regulatory requirements, computer system validation
- Good written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
