Automation Tester, JMeter, Selenium, SoapUI, Java-based reference architecture based on spring, spring mvc, jpa, hibernate, jax-ws, and JSF, jQuery, Oracle WebLogic, SOA, UML. Definition and execution of test plans and test scenarios. Experience in Release Management required.
This is a 220 day contract in Brussels €403 a day.
CONTEXT/INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES
The Research Grant Management programme includes a large portfolio of actions aiming at introducing both an interoperability platform with common foundation services (based on SOA principles) as well as common Front Office IT services (The Participant Portal, a Unique Registration Facility, the Submission and Evaluation of Proposals systems, etc.) and interoperable Back Office services. The Research Grant Management is run collaboratively under a partnership between the Research DGs and DIGIT.
The responsibilities of the unit in charge of the Research Grant Management include:
*The section Development, Architecture and Studies that includes:
*The operation of a Development Factory for implementing and supporting IT solutions;
*The operation of the Research Grant Management Architecture Office for supporting the SOA actions and the co-ordination of the important IT community of the Research DGs;
*The operation of a Business Analysis team for understanding the business, safeguarding the business knowledge and proposing IT solutions.
*The provision of Service Management and Operations for the Information Systems.
In the context of the Research Grant Management programme the unit wishes to obtain the services of a skilled Infrastructure Tester experienced in load, stress and endurance testing of the web based applications.
2. DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
The successful candidate will provide design, development, testing and integration services for the Research Grants Management projects. The candidate will contribute to the activities listed below (non exhaustive list):
*Task 1:Definition of test cases in collaboration with system representatives and application developers;
*Task 2: Elaboration of test cases, construction of test scenarios and implementation, logging and analysis of test runs;
*Task 3: Definition, execution and follow-up reporting on test plans;
*Task 4: Presentation and publication of test results;
*Task 5: Support on testing issues to application developers.
3.WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS
The work will be carried out on a Full time basis at the client's premises in Brussels. The service providers will have frequent meetings in the Clients services in Brussels with the Research DGs and their agencies (RTD, CNECT, ENTR, MOV, ENER, REA, and ERC) and occasional meetings in the Clients premises in Luxembourg.
The working languages are both English and French.
The technology environment chosen is as follows:
*The development is adhering to the Java-based reference architecture based on spring, spring mvc, jpa, hibernate, jax-ws, and JSF, jQuery.
*The developments are relying on Oracle WebLogic software components.
*Interoperability is achieved based on SOA principles and Oracle Service Bus.
*Data is stored in Oracle Databases.
*Development is based on Rational Unified Process and the Rational Tools (eg Team Concert, Software Modeller, Software Architect, Requisite Pro).
4. OTHER PRECISIONS
The candidates shall have:
*The experience stated in the framework contract for the requested profile.
*Practical experience proving the capability to execute the tasks described in § 2.
*Very good knowledge of automation test tools (JMeter, Selenium, SoapUI)
*Good knowledge of English (spoken, written) and if possible, of French (optional).
*Rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.
*Proactive attitude, communicative (ie good listener) and customer-oriented.
*Proven experience in testing Web applications and Internet portals.
*Experience in testing web-services, automated testing or stress testing is required.
*Knowledge of the Clients environment (corporate choices, Java reference application) would be considered as an asset.
*Functional testing and creation of functional tests plans is required. The candidate has to have an ability to understand the business processes for the performance of this task.
*Performance testing, knowledge in creating automated scripts that measure key system performance metrics is required.
*Knowledge in creating automated user interface testing scripts and test frameworks is required.
Required specific expertise (9 years):
