Automated QA/Test Engineers - Oil & Gas Software - Houston

Montash have been exclusively retained to build a team of Real Time - automated test engineers for a leading E&P software house in Houston.

Our client are looking for expert QA candidates, who are capable of designing and developing automated test plans from scratch, preferably for Real Time drilling applications.

The company are a high energy, forward thinking form, who are currently Embedded in a host of greenfield Real Time projects with Global operators.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
o Independently and proactively improve the quality of the team's practices and deliverables.
o Ensure developed solutions meet the acceptance criteria based upon the requirements and specifications.
o Setup and maintain test environments, develop automated tests, and document and report out on test results.
o Assist the developers and other QA engineers with QA related activities.
o Align the team with the company wide QA standards.

Additionally:
o Coordinate with colleagues globally inside and outside the project.
o Work with cross-team product owners, developers and quality engineers to support QA processes. Be a vocal advocate of customer empathy and risk mitigation.

Staff/Perm

o Geoscience/Petrophysics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics degree.
o Experience in software testing or software quality assurance in an agile development environment.
o Experience with a software team developing in C# and/or C++.
o Basic programming skills such as writing scripts to automate processes.
o Experience with formal methodologies, processes or frameworks eg Scrum, CMMI, Agile, XP, MSF, or RUP.
o Experience with structured software development environments - source control, issue management, testing environments and strategies.
