Autocad Techncian

Main Purpose of Position

To work as part of the Operations team supporting the CAD Engineering Supervisor to produce record and design drawings for our clients both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Have a level of technical understanding on what is required for each type of drawing and be able to produce:

Schematics - with size of drawing, layout, visibility and the ES standard in mind.
AV Layouts - visibility of symbols and manipulation of Xrefs.
Metalwork Drawings - dimensioned properly, clearly and concisely laid out for manufacture.

Drive quality and consistency into all drawings, using the ES standard.
To be able to convert multiple types of drawings (Visio, hand drawn, excel, PDF, scanned images)
Able to scale off paper drawings to create electronic versions.
Create elevations from a plan (metalwork, architectural).
Operate the company's drawing package, AutoCAD 2015 (will accept someone with knowledge of 2013 upwards), to produce drawings for our clients.
