Autocad Drafter

AutoCAD Drafters with utility Electrical or Plant Control drawing experience are needed to generate three-dimensional models and drawings using MicroStation CAD software and EXCEL spreadsheet. The AutoCAD Drafters will work with engineering teams to improve or modify current specifications for a major energy company in Amarillo, TX. This a potentially long term Contract position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Generates Electrical three-dimensional models and drawings using MicroStation CAD software and EXCEL spreadsheet
- Apply industry specific drafting codes and standards, following functional electrical and plant control specifications of the designs assigned to them.
- Participates in meetings and work closely with manufacturing and production personnel to ensure quality drafting of new or redesigned products and instruments

REQUIREMENTS

- Associates Degree and Electrical or Plant Control drafting experience with the skills to generate three-dimensional models and drawings using MicroStation CAD software and EXCEL spreadsheet.
- Must be up to date on utility industry specific drafting codes and standards and have experience improving or modifying specifications and drawings
- Must have experience checking drawings created by other design drafters
