Auditor

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- The Internal Auditor is responsible for the evaluation, design, and operating effectiveness of internal controls within assigned technology, business segments, business functions
- This individual conducts complex audit assignments including projects that are consultative in nature.
- This includes performing preliminary reviews to tailor the scope of each audit and develop customized work plans, coordinating an audit team which executes the plan, performing the more complex areas of the plan, preparation of audit comments and the final report, and communicating with the auditee(s) closely throughout the process.
- The Internal Auditor position is considered an expert in the complex area of internal audit.
- The position requires a broad knowledge of practices and procedures and calls for originality and ingenuity in developing strategies.
- The individual in this position works with limited supervision.
- The Experienced Auditor/Audit Supervisor levels provide training and guidance to less experienced staff

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- The desired candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting, business management, or information technology with several years of auditing experience.
- The position requires a self-starter with strong analytical, investigative and interpersonal skills, and excellent written/oral communication skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates with CPA or CIA certifications.
- Audit experience will be a factor in determining level.

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Big 4 accounting experience strongly preferred.
