Group Audit is focused on identifying potential risk exposure, and offers vital insight into the adequacy of the design and the operating effectiveness of systems of internal control. The structure mirrors that of the bank itself, allowing effective audit of the specific risks facing individual businesses and functions. Working centrally to assess changes in the business and regulatory landscape and make sure that emerging risks are reflected in specific coverage, methodology and training.

As an Audit Subject Matter Expert you will be supporting the benchmarking remediation project to ensure a smooth delivery to audit and the regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with external consultants to facilitate handover of all project documentation relating to the benchmark remediation project, listing and indexing relevant documents for future reference and delivery to audit and regulators as required
- Work across multiple business units to understand the broad control framework for benchmark submissions, to build a risk based Quality Assurance (QA) control plan to be executed by the Client Coverage Group (CCG) Specialist Functions, to ensure the consistent and adequate execution of Front Office controls
- Build relationships with business stakeholders and implement a periodic Business as Usual (BAU) working group to keep updated with regional developments in local benchmarks
- Review key controls for benchmark submissions to produce conflict of interest assessments, and trade and communications surveillance processes
- Assist in the assessment of regulatory requirements by performing a gap analysis of these requirements to current practices and build remediation plans to address any gaps identified
- Assist and deputise for the (CCG) Specialist Functions Head where required

You will have:

- Knowledge and understanding of benchmark submission processes such as London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) and Euro Interbank Offered Rate (EURIBOR) for both survey and transaction based benchmarks
- Knowledge and understanding of control requirements including both risk and conflict of interest assessments
- Experience of working with regulators associated to benchmark submissions such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO)
- Extensive experience within an Audit background
- Experience of carrying out benchmark submissions within a regulatory environment

You will be:

- Able to work well under pressure, maintaining a professional demeanor
- Experienced in delivering results with proven ability to adapt and be responsive to changing customer, sponsor and stakeholder requirements
- Educated to degree level with relevant industry experience and/or qualifications
