-Leading work at multiple client sites and liaising with clients at the highest level.
- Supervising, mentoring, and coaching junior team members of staff to help them realise their full potential.
- Demonstrating practical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and topical matters relevant to banking audits. Experience of US GAAP, FCA and CASS rules would be an advantage although not essential.
- Managing partner involvement in your audits and keeping them informed and up to date with progress.
- Acting as the initial point of contact throughout the year for your clients; managing timetables, anticipating costs, raising fees and agreeing dates for cash collection.
- Regularly and proactively communicating with senior clients on relevant industry matters.
- Keeping up to date with KPMG's product and service offerings and identifying the sales opportunities that will help us grow our business.
- Establishing and maintaining strong internal and external networks within the industry.
- Communicating with clients and subject matter experts on technical matters relevant to banking audits.
- Actively drive the planning of the audit, as well as the actual fieldwork at interim and final, statutory audit and completion work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Significant financial statement audit experiences (minimum of 4 years post qualification) ideally in a bug 4 accountancy firm
- You must be professionally qualified with a recognised accountancy body, ACA, ACCA or CPA with a minimum of two years audit experience post qualification.
- Strong financial services experiences, particularly on global banks, and extensive knowledge of developments within the financial sector
- Identifies and pursues business opportunities maintaining a solution mindset.
- Proactively manages projects taking personal responsibility and accountability for the team's work.
- Sustains a high level of drive and a positive attitude when coping with pressures.
- Continuously learns from experiences. Seeks out feedback and development opportunities.
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills. Gives clear directions and constructive feedback.
- Coaches and mentors others.
- Pragmatically challenge views while maintaining flexibility.
- Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information.
- Builds the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experience relevant to the industry.
- Monitors and upholds high quality of service and products to clients (internal and external).
