Audit Development Manager

AUDIT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER-REDMOND, WA-8 MONTH CONTRACT

For this contract opportunity with the world's most recognized software corporation, you will participate in the technology portion of audit projects and fraud investigations by:

- Collaborating with stakeholders to discuss requirements, timelines, scope, issues and status
- Researching, identifying and delivering appropriate data, reports and solutions during all phases of internal audit projects to enable data analysis by auditors and fraud investigators
- Managing certain administrative functions such as development, maintenance and troubleshooting of the audit databases, management of data base permissions and documenting of key database processes and contacts
- Developing and maintaining functional and technical documentation
- Owning resolution of SQL database, SSRS report and MS Access query problems and quickly identifying the root causes of technical issues, ultimately driving timely remediation
- Developing positive and effective relationships with business partners in IT and Solutions Delivery to identify and access key data sources throughout the company
- Optimizing the existing SSRS reports and design and develop new SSRS reports based on BRD
- Optimizing the existing SSIS packages and develop a new SSIS packages for data loads
- Supporting existing tools and new development projects
- Responsible for the database (T-SQL stored procedures), reporting (SSRS and advanced Excel) and SSIS
- Ensuring data accuracy and reliability
- Contributing to development methodologies and best practices
- Cross group collaborative work with other groups
- Working with Auditors to provide end user support

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years of experience in SQL database design, development, management and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Highly motivated results oriented self-starter
- Proven track record of analytical problem solving and technical excellence and a passion for product security, quality and reliability
- Demonstrated success working in a fast paced environment with multiple tasks, changing priorities and tight timelines
- Demonstrated success dealing with ambiguous problems; and the ability to independently make solid progress when the solution is not well defined
- Ability to critically analyze and assess for business value, effectiveness and opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
- Practical approach to software development and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, especially with non-technical business partners

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Extensive experience in database programming and design using Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and MS Access
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack; eg SQL Analysis Service (SSAS), Integration Service (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), Reporting tools (Excel, PowerPivot)
- Must have extensive experience with SQL 2008/2012 database design and tuning
- Sustain existing DB schemas, stored procedures, etc. as required to support business needs
- Design and develop required reporting using SSRS and Excel for reporting
- Design and develop SSIS packages
- Technical and support documentation
- Experience in VBA and advanced Excel

PREFERRED

- Advanced degree in Information Technology or Business
- Professional certification such as MCSE, MCSD, MCDBA, PMP
- Experience with systems and data such as enterprise data, MSBatch, SAP, Mercury, etc.
- Experience in SSAS - MDX queries
