Audio Visual Technician

SUMMARY:

- Experienced and capable audio visual contract support technician for the Research and Development (R&D) scientific areas.
- Provide application support for both Audio Visual and teleconference systems utilized by Research and Development staff.
- This requires in-depth experience in Enterprise Audio/Video systems and the ability to provide support and resolution for these systems quickly.
- Also, provide support to all levels of customers including senior executives.
- Build strong relationships with users to track, understand and resolve their technical issues.
- Be willing to take ownership of user issues, monitor progress and keep users informed until resolution occurs.
- Understand Service Support activities (Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management).
- Provide Audio/Visual Support for enterprise systems
- Liaison between multiple Business Technology organizations to provide comprehensive support

SKILLS:

- The ideal candidate should possess a working knowledge of AV systems, current AV technology, a solid understanding of teleconference systems and the aptitude to learn new and possibly complex systems as required.
- The candidate should have good problem diagnosis and repair skills coupled with solid exposure to database concepts, and knowledge of both Client Server and web-based application architectures.
- Strong customer/communication skills along with three to five years industry working experience in application/technical support is essential.
- Candidate should demonstrate the ability to work closely with other global divisions to accomplish stated objectives.
- Also, the candidate should be able to work on their own, with minimal direct supervision, or as part of a team.
- They will need to be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and use available resources to solve issues quickly.
- AV Experience: CTS or CTS-D certification DMC-E certification
- Experience with digital video switching and routing
- Experience with audio DSPs
- Ability to lift equipment up to 50lbs
