AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN CHANDLER, AZ 6 MONTH CONTRACT

The AV Technician provides audio/visual support to corporate clients. Audio Visual Technicians must be proficient with a wide range of technologies related to audio and video production, streaming media, videoconferencing, and audiovisual operations support.

The Audio Visual Technician must demonstrate an entry level knowledge of the basic aspects of customer support in AV.

This position, in CompuCom's Audio-Video Support Services department, reports directly to the AV Tech III overseeing their work site. S/He is a member of the team overseen by the Regional AV Lead overseeing Audio-Visual Service on-site activities. Position may be delegated responsibility to oversee contractors temporarily assigned to their place of operation, or temporarily assume responsibilities of the on-site AV Tech II in that person's absence. This position regularly collaborates with customer stakeholders and internal team leaders.

THE TECHNICIAN WILL:

- Have a high school diploma or equivalency
- Have 2-3 years experience in AV support
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
- Display the ability to work and interact professionally with all corporate levels
- Exhibit excellent customer service, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Be capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Be capable of working independently with little supervision
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to follow written and verbal directions easily
- Be able to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers
- Reach, grasp and carry as required
- Some occasional lifting of objects up to 100lbs is required

KEY TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide audiovisual support for conferences and events
- Learn to provide troubleshooting in the event of equipment failure or system breakdown
- Instruct customers in the use of audio/video equipment in conference rooms and auditoriums
- Assist other technicians in fixing and maintaining equipment
- Learn Level 2 AV Tech position to provide backfill as needed
- Travel between work locations with your personal vehicle
- Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Strong desire to learn and take personal responsibility for product and technologies education
- Excellent work ethic
- Provide administrative support to local lead on an as needed basis
- Minimal experience with audio production and sound reinforcement fundamentals desired
- Set up and operate of a wide variety of audiovisual equipment, but willing to train the right candidate
- Solid experience with various streaming media and digital media formats, encoding, transcoding
- Familiarity with videoconferencing codecs and conferencing services
- Present a professional appearance at all time
