AUDIO DSP ENGINEER
Our customer is a leading international semiconductor company with offices in over 20 countries. As well as being world leaders in NFC technology, they design and manufacture semiconductor solutions for a diverse range of applications including consumer, industrial, medical and automotive. They have grown rapidly in the last period and are looking to expand their team in Leuven, Belgium.
We are looking for an experienced Audio DSP Engineer to start immediately on a 12 month contract with the option to extend. We can offer an excellent hourly rate for the right candidate.
THE POSITION:
Within the software department focusing on Digital Signal Processing for Speech on Mobile devices, you will join a team working on Multi-Microphone Speech Processing.As DSP Designer - Multi-Microphone Speech Processing you will be responsible for productization of state-of-the-art speech processing algorithms. This includes algorithm development, software architecture, fixed point design, definition and execution of tests, documentation, code optimization, etc.
* You will be involved in all aspects of the Voice team work flow.
* You will be part of a small scrum team (6 persons) with a scrum master and architect.
* During maturization of a product, you will have direct contact with our regional customer teams to share expertise and possibly also meet customers face-to-face in Asia to successfully deploy our products in commercial devices.
* The first assignment will be productization of multi-microphone speech enhancement product.
Building on our available products and newly developed algorithms, a fixed point reference code has to be developed.
THE INDIVIDUAL:
- Master Sciences or Engineering
- Knowledge of Signal processing theory, Audio Algorithm design > 5 years
- Knowledge with fixed point design of audio signal processing algorithms 1-3 years
- Knowledge about audio and acoustics, mainly in the speech processing domain (echo cancellation, noise suppression, etc.) 1-3 years
- C programming, MATLAB, PERL > 5 years
- English - business fluent#
- Eligible to work in the EU
