Audio Algorithm Research Engineer

ACS has a 12 month contract opportunity for a creative and hands-on algorithm research engineer that has a passion for voice, audio processing and/or acoustics.

Our customer is a leading expert in providing Digital Signal Processing for speech and music on mobile devices, delivering key software components such as acoustic echo cancellation, multi-microphone noise suppression, speaker protection, speaker optimisation and many more.

You will be working in cooperation with universities, and alongside advanced development and product development teams, supporting customers and regional teams with the integration of audio products in devices, platforms and frameworks.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

- Creating the next generation of audio products.
- Exploring different solutions, refining the selected solution into a state-of-the art algorithm that is robust and ready for product development.
- Researching latest technologies, guiding PhD projects, input to product development.
- Customer liaison.

ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

- Masters or PhD in Electronics Engineering
- 5 years or more experience in algorithm development (academic and/or commercial).
- Understanding of Digital Signal Processing theory
- Creative and passionate working attitude.
- Knowledge of speech processing, audio, machine learning, acoustics and transducers (loudspeakers, microphones, headphones)
- Experience with algorithm design in Matlab/Simulink
- Communicative team player working in an international environment with different cultures
- Prepared to travel to Asia and US to meet with customers.

€55 TO €70 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL OF REQUESTED SKILLS.
