ATM TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

LOCATION: BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

DURATION: UNTIL 31ST AUGUST 2015

Outsource UK are actively seeking to recruit an ATM TECHNICAL SPECIALIST who possesses experience with 3rd line IT support, Scripting (batch files, Visual Basic Scripting, HTA programming/
Scripting), MDT build distribution and Systems Management software. The contract will initially run until 31st August 2015 and will provide experience with a leading Financial Services organisation.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The overall role of the team is to:

- Provide technical evaluation and certification of ATM hardware
- Technical support to facilitate key ATM implementations across the UK
- Carry out software testing, build development and standardisation of the UK ATM platform providing the most robust ATM software solution
- Provide technical and logistical support to project teams inside and outside of End User Technologies both in and out of hours to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of project deliverables
- Ensure a high level of remote management and support is available across all UK ATM estates using a wide range of software tools

ESSENTIAL:

- 3rd line IT support
- Scripting (batch files, Visual Basic Scripting, HTA programming/Scripting)
- Experience of MDT build distribution
- Systems Management software
- Previous support experience in a corporate environment
- Windows XP and Windows 7 desktop support knowledge and Desktop PC hardware
- Experience of Systems Management tools
- Ability to delegate and prioritise tasks effectively
- Able to build and maintain relationships at all levels with the business and team
- Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
- Ability to implement and manage change

DESIRABLE:

- ITIL Skills (Understanding of change and incident processes)
- Experience of Tivoli Endpoint Manager (formerly BigFix) for centralised device management and reporting
- Any programming experience using Visual Basic and build automation
- Previous ATM support experience
- Knowledge of AdvanceNDC and ProCashNDC

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide support to the Branch Refurbishment programme
- Carry out software testing and build development
- Provide technical solutions to resolve faults
- Support any ATM deployment activities to support the programme

ADH

- Provide technical support to the ADH ATM project technical lead
- Provide support both in and out of hours for the duration of the project where required

ATM PLATFORMS/CERTIFICATION

- Ensure devices are evaluated and technically certified to meet the needs of the Bank
- Keep up to date with any on-going security issues and fixes and maintain a close relationship with ATM vendors across the UK
- Follow the correct testing and change management process for any production changes, minimising faults and service outages
- Be pro-active in your support of the ATM estate to maintain a high level of availability

SUPPORT

- Maintain the ATM fault queue and ensure tickets are accepted and updated frequently
- Take a lead in mentoring other members of the team where you identify a technical gap or lack of knowledge or processes
- Report to the ATM lead on a regular basis to provide project updates

TEAM

- Provide support and mentor junior members of the team
