As a Senior Associate you will have a key role on audit assignments.  You will be reporting directly to a Manager/Senior Manager and ultimately to a Director/Partner within the audit practice.  As a result, this role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your personal and technical skills.

In addition to developing your personal and technical skills, the role will offer you:

About the role

 

Joining as a Senior Associate, you can expect to be involved in a variety of interesting and challenging work.  Your responsibilities would include:

Providing audit and business advice to a variety of clients
Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and established clients
Working as part of a team, liaising with both client and other specialist staff in the practice to provide high quality client services
Providing an on-site coordination role for audit clients including the coaching and training of junior staff
Supervising teams and reporting directly to senior staff
Working as part of our business development strategy team in the local marketplace 

As you will be joining as a Senior Associate in Core Assurance, a large part of your role will be within Audit but a growing piece of our business is around risk advisory, transactions and non-audit assurance and we would look to be challenging our assurance Senior Associates to help develop this in the market and execute the work. Our work is more than just the major clients in the region - we work on private equity, growing local businesses, crown jewels, Research & Development, start ups, independent/ listed E&P companies etc.

There are also a number of additional areas that Senior Associates can get involved in. Some of these include:

Graduate and Experienced Recruitment interviewing
Tutoring on a variety of courses
Champion for various initiatives

Requirements

 

Essential requirements:

ACA/ACCA/CA qualification is essential
Experience of financial reporting frameworks such as UK GAAP or IFRS and auditing frameworks such as UK ISAs
Extensive experience of the audit from planning to completion, across a diverse range of assignments
Flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the team
Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels
A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional client service
A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
Candidates will also be required to demonstrate the ability to contribute to new initiatives, whether building relationships with target clients or other business development activities
A reasonable degree of flexibility in relation to travel will be expected to serve the regional nature of our client base
Demonstrable strong analytical skills and organisational abilities
Well developed listening and questioning techniques
Action oriented with a strong desire for continuous improvement
