ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Research Triangle Park, NC

- Cell Biology
- Molecular Biology
- Pharmaceutical
- qPCR
- ELISA

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Providing key cell and molecular biology support for Translational medicine programs:
- Establishing, executing and validating novel in vitro and ex vivo cell- and tissue-based models
- Performing gene expression and cytokine analysis and other bio-analytical assays including qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting etc
- Exercise technical discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments
- Review data, interpret study results and trends
- Maintain laboratory notebook records on experiments
- Keep up with current scientific literature in the field
- Preparing technical reports, and study summaries of assigned projects, as well as giving verbal and written presentations internally

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS or MS in Pharmacology, Biology, or Medical Sciences with a strong emphasis on cell biology, molecular biology, pharmacology or immunology
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus but not an absolute requirement
- Excellent oral communication skills to clearly explain complex issues and progress reports to a variety of audiences across function levels at both internal and external meetings
- Excellent written communication skills to provide comprehensive progress reports

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with RNA isolation & quantitative gene expression analysis is desired
- Experience in histology is not required but considered a plus
