Associate Scientist with profound Salt and Polymorphism knowledge wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Trained Technician with continuing education, Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years' experience as Technician
- Familiar with safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials and equipment
- Profound scientific and technical knowledge in the analytical areas and other areas of collaboration
- Competent handling of laboratory and technical tools as well as of relevant software and computer tools
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken. German and French are a plus
YOUR TASKS:
- Developing and validating analytical methods, focusing on x-ray powder diffractometry, micro calorimetry, infrared spectroscopy and thermal analyses in the solid state characterization area
- Researching the physical-chemical characterization of active pharmaceutical ingredients, especially in salt and polymorphism programs
- Performing scientific experiments under GMP and ensuring documentation of raw data, evaluation and interpretation of results as well as providing input for the selection of next experiments
- Scheduling and performing maintenance of lab instruments and equipment as well as contributing to the evaluation of new equipment
- Supporting the transfer of analytical procedures to CRO's and production sites, including process steering controls etc.
- Collaborating with team members on deliveries of DS and DP along with contributing to lab procedures, instructions, reports, and SOPs
- Performing safety and literature searches in collaboration with experienced team members and keeping record of chemicals, excipients, intermediates, and solvents within own area of responsibility
