Associate Scientist I Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST to join our client in Cambridge, MA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design experiments and studies with moderate guidance.
- Independently execute experiments with good quality, including sample preparation, PCR, RT-PCR, DNA sequencing, etc.
- Work on experiment data collection, data analysis and summary report.
- Do some tissue culture work as project requires.
- Work with the team, design Real Time PCR assays and develop sample processing procedures for blood, FFPE and other sample types.

Job Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience on molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid sample preparation, PCR, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning, DNA sequencing, allele specific PCR, Real Time PCR, melting curve analysis, SNP detection.
- Working experience in tissue culture.
- Familiarity with GLP and cGMP environment, documentation and quality system is highly desirable but not required.
- General knowledge with basic statistics.
- Understanding the principles of DOE and hands-on experiences with statistics tools, Minitab or JMP, and bioinformatics tools as plus.
- BS/MS degree in Life Sciences with one to six (1 - 6) years of lab experience.
