For our client in BASEL (Switzerland) we are looking for an ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST for a 7 MONTHS contract.
LOCATION: Basel, Switzerland
DURATION: 01/01/2019 - 31/07/2019
WORKLOAD: 100%
The E&L Lab provides analytical support for biopharmaceutical protein development projects by using modern test methods for the detection of compounds leaching from the materials in contact with the drug substances or drug products during manufacturing or storage. As part of a service lab, the applicant will work at several interfaces (a.o. formulation/development, manufacturing, physico-chemical analytics).
Main tasks:
o Sample preparation (ie incubation of materials and work up of extracts)
o Analysis of extracts using various chromatographic techniques
o Qualitative (ie interpretation) and quantitative evaluation of results
o Maintenance of the lab equipment and troubleshooting.
o Contribution to reports (or section of reports) under the supervision of the lab head.
Minimum Requirements:
o LABORATORY TECHNICIAN with several years of experience in analytics OR MASTER DEGREE in a relevant science discipline (eg chemistry, biochemistry, food).
o Experience in the field of GC/MS and/or HPLC-UV/MS.
Expectations:
o Good technical and IT SKILLS.
o Good organizational, communication and team skills
o Fluent in ENGLISH.
o Flexible and able to cope with timelines.
o Interest in learning.
