Associate Scientist

Associate Scientist wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Bachelor or equivalent with general understanding of Cell Biology or Immunology, alternatively Lab assistant (EFZ, Biology)
- Solid knowledge of cell culture, Antibiotic free culture and Culture maintenance, including flasks, bags and dishes, additionally Primary cell cultures and Large scale culture as a plus
- General understanding of analytical assays along with Cell count and viability, Microscope with Morphology and preferably with knowledge in Fluorescense microscopy
- Awareness of large scale equipment and also of Isolation of a specific cell type in large scale and through tissue dissection
- General lab upkeep and maintenance in BSL2 environment as well as adherence to documentation guidelines and DQP (document quality practice) Management
- Languages: fluent English and German both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Reporting directly to the team head of Cell Process Development
- Participating in cell culture and cell isolation activities for Process Development utilizing human primary cells from blood and eyes
- Working on the entire cell process from start to finish (Cryopreservation) after cell culture and gene-modification of the cells
- Performing both large and small scale experiments
- Adhering to required standards in a BSL2 environment
