Associate Scientist wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- MSc or BSc degree in chemistry or chemistry related field, or training as a lab technician
- 3+ years' professionalism in synthetic chemistry
- Working experience with standard lab techniques, equipment and automation
- Deep understanding of organic chemistry as well as basic concepts of analytical chemistry along with know-how in data analysis, interpretation and documentation
- Expertise in chemical synthesis and process development as well as knowledge of standard chemical and analytical software eg ChemDraw, ACDLabs, Chromeleon are desirable
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be an asset
YOUR TASKS:
- Planning, organizing and executing of chemical experiments to develop and optimize chemical processes for the manufacture of drug substances
- Documenting the generated data, contributing to the interpretation of results and providing summaries in appropriate formats for upload into databases
- Operating lab automation equipment and analytical equipment such as HPLC
- Working closely with scientists from a diverse range of disciplines within chemical and analytical development
