Associate Scientist with profound knowledge in protein purification, protein separation and ÄKTA wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry or equivalent education or working experience as Laboratory technician or bio-engineer
- Expertise in ÄKTA systems and protein separation techniques and principles
- Background in interpretation of chromatograms and analytical data
- Strong communication skills and interest for hands-on lab
- Familiarity with analytical techniques would be a plus
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German or French is a plus
YOUR TASKS:
- Preparing and executing lab-scale purifications of antibodies and other novel protein formats under the supervision of a DSP expert using ÄKTA Avant, ÄKTA Pilot, Tecan liquid handling systems
- Processing samples, contributing to result interpretation and enter summary documents in electronic lab journal, as well as communicating the scientific data in team meetings
- Working in Work in endotoxin-free environment and contributing to maintenance of equipment and organization of lab infrastructure
- Supporting the team in the writing of lab procedures, technology evaluations and implementation of new equipment
- Collaborating with the analytical team to coordinate analytics for all in-process samples to enable decision on a suitable production process
- Strong Multitasker and solid knowledge of computer skills especially in Microsoft Office tools
