Associate Scientist

The Bioassay and Impurity Testing Group is currently looking for a Senior Associate Scientist with comprehensive ELISA experience. The qualified contractor will contribute to the development of biotherapeutic and vaccine drug candidates and will work within a highly matrixed team setting. The contractor will work across multiple analytical functions and project teams in a cGMP testing environment doing method development, qualification, and routine impurities testing. Work skills desired: Experience with ELISA and cell based assays, method development and method qualification, familiar with cGMP practices. BS in Biology or similar.

The qualified candidate will join the Bioassay and Impurities Testing group, which is part of the organization located in Andover, MA to enable the development of biological therapeutics. The candidate will be part of a group responsible for developing analytical methodologies and strategies needed to progress biotherapeutic products through the pipeline; this includes method development, qualification, and in-process support. The candidate should have experience with ELISA and cell based assays, method development and method qualification, and be familiar with cGMP practices. The main function of the position will be to provide routine analytical testing using established methodologies. The ideal candidate will have experience using some or all of the above analytical methodologies for the analysis of biologics and have proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Excel and PowerPoint. In addition, the candidate should have good documentation skills and will be expected to tabulate and provide data interpretation to their team and to their customers. The candidate must excel at working in a collaborative, highly Matrix fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have 1-3 years laboratory experience performing a variety of analytical methodologies.

MOST CRITICAL SKILLS:
Analytical hands-on experience with ELISA techniques and cell-based assays is required.
