OVERVIEW:

The position will be responsible for monitoring and analysing electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions related to the onboarding of approximately 500,000 retail customers between contract execution and the customer's first invoice. The role includes complex issue resolution, coordinating information requests from other departments, and working with external parties such as utilities and third party vendors to ensure a positive customer experience. The Associate of Transaction Management will develop knowledge of the various EDI transactions between the company and the utilities serving our customers, as well as the flow of transactions through the customer relationship management system.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Exercise independent judgment to investigate and resolve issues related to customer enrollments and drops. Work with senior team members to compare and evaluate alternative courses of action. Independently execute appropriate course of action to fully resolve issues. Significant issues frequently include, but are not limited to: obtaining local government permits, multiple suppliers enrolling account, not eligible for bill type due to past due balance, contracts countersigned late.
- Monitor transactions received from Utilities and EDI vendor to ensure enrollment and drop transactions are accepted timely, accurate and completely in accordance with the customer contract terms.
- Professionally represent the company in handling and resolving customer issues related to enrollments with utility supplier support teams.
- Apply knowledge on cross functional teams and projects across the organization.
- Demonstrate flexibility and aptitude for quick learning by cross training across multiple regions, customer classes and bill types.

SKILLS:

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree required or an equivalent business experience will be considered
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to effectively communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external parties.
- Maintains an intermediate understanding of data and scenario analysis.
- Computer experience is required.
- Demonstrates organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to obtain and analyze data with supervision and can reason through scenarios to suggest course of action or remediation.
- Regulated and/or deregulated energy industry experience a plus.
- Knowledge of Retail Power Order to Cash processes and associated risks.
- Microsoft Excel, Access, Siebel and Lodestar experience preferred.
