Associate Mechanical Design Engineer Job

ASSOCIATE MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in LAKE FOREST, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform preliminary validation and verification on products and subsystems.
- Identify/define, analyze/quantify problems with senior engineers.
- Electro-mechanical assembly, standard electrical test equipment, reading standard parts drawing and familiarity with tolerances.
- Take on unfamiliar tasks and work effectively within tight schedule

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BSME with a minimum one to two (1-2) years hands-on development experience
- Some mechanical design experience using Pro/E
- Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Possess a demonstrated commitment to meet the deadlines
- Accustomed to working on a team in a hands-on engineering environment.
- Flexible and well organized with initiative.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- R&D lab environment experience in fabrication of prototype instrumentation, testing surgical consoles, subsystems, using various mechanical measuring instruments, such as Instron (compression/tension tester), 3D SmartScope measurement system, high speed digital camera and other test equipment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Medical device development environment experience
- LabView program
- Mechanical design experience using Pro/E or other 3D CAD system
