Associate IT Analyst

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain current, and develop new, database systems that will support the success of the customer.
- Work directly on application/technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
- Work with team(s) as necessary to determine requirements for new systems.
- Determine the design of systems.
- Build, implement, maintain, enhance, and perform testing on systems as necessary.
- Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components.
- Work with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure.
- Design and implement processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support.
- Plan, develop, and implement backup and recovery procedures.
- Assist and train customers and perform related duties as assigned.
- Work effectively, independently and follow through on assignments.
- Promote and maintain a team environment.
- Work effectively with clients, users and senior managers.
- Communicate orally and in writing; read, interpret and apply complex technical publications and documentation.
- Utilize the techniques to provide great customer service.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Computer related or Engineering related four year College or University Degree (or equivalent).
- Two to four years relevant experience required in a Design/Developer type role.
- Progressively responsible IT job-related experiences.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Knowledge of the latest technology in programming languages, computing hardware and software, and current development processes and tools.
- Ability to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications.
- Relational database design with Microsoft Access 2007 or greater (ability to create simple and complex tables, queries, forms, macros and procedures using VBA).
- Ability to recognize problems, develop recommendations and solutions, and oversee correction within assigned specialty.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR EDUCATION:

- SQL programming desired.
