Associate Industrial Engineer Job

ASSOCIATE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Diego, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Associate Industrial Engineer plans, develops, implements and evaluates the integrated systems of the plant's facilities, equipment, energy, materials, processes and personnel to improve efficiency, production, and profitability of the plant
- Oversee and lead the implementation of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process
- Budget and Cost Control
- Ensure department safety guidelines are adhered to
- Studies functional statements, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and proposes productivity, profitability, and quality improvements as well as cost reduction suggestions.
- Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
- Analyzes work force utilization, equipment layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
- Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment.
- Provides technical and problem solving assistance to other departments, including recommendations for equipment and process improvements to reduce operating costs and increase efficiencies.
- Participates in cross-functional project implementation teams to ensure projects and improvements are completed with minimum interruptions to production and that the needs of all departments are properly addressed.
- Coaches and Mentors others to plan, develop and execute CI projects to generate annual savings and/or improvements.
- Ensures department adheres to established safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee and lead the implementation of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the factory accountability list in order to achieve targeted RCR.
- Implements and utilizes client's standard practices and tools to deliver sustainable, world-class performance in order to continually meet our pursued goal of world-class status.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and six (6) months to one (1) year related work experience
- The process for reviewing financial statements and other project information.
- The policies and procedures for developing labor utilization standards.
- The methods for determining workforce utilization.
- Methods for improving worker and operations efficiency.
- Solution to technical and other problems related to equipment and process.
- The processes for working in a cross-functional team.
- This position may potentially work 2nd shift on occasion; candidate must be flexible to accommodate the needs during peak season, and/or when necessary
- Quality improvement measures.
