ASSOCIATE I needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in EMERYVILLE, CA

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Lab Manager and/or Senior Associate
- cGMP and ISO regulated
- experience in either an Analytical Development or QC Testing

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Working under moderate to high degree of supervision from Lab Manager and/or Senior Associate, perform one to two methods/processes at a time.
- Ensuring their own experimental & sample testing work is performed exactly as defined in the approved study protocols or test method SOPs/guideline.
- Maintaining up to date records of all study activities in their laboratory notebooks and/or protocol forms according to cGMP documentation requirements
- Ensuring the laboratory is stocked at all times with all the required raw materials/reagents/consumables/buffers for the l studies to be performed
- Preparation of reagents/buffers for the lab according to approved recipes or approved lab procedures or SOPs
- Preparation of results sheets from tests/studies performed
- Preparation of purchase requisitions as needed to order supplies to keep the laboratory stocked
- Maintaining the labs in a clean and organized manner to ensure efficient performance of activities
- Fermentation: Perform small scale harvest using continuous centrifuges and dynomill.
- Perform inoculations & incubations using Sterile Technique.
- Perform basic offline analysis such as Optical Density and pH,
- Perform evaluations of new equipment
- Possible media preparation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- This position is required to work in a cGMP and ISO regulated environment as well as within the scope of Grifols internal policies and directives.
- Must have good verbal communication skills as well as a strong sense of customer service and professionalism.
- Zero to five (0-5+) years of experience in either an Analytical Development or QC Testing environment in the biotechnology or diagnostics industry
- Prior experience working on Analytical testing of recombinant proteins would be advantageous.
- Working under moderate to high degree of supervision on Analytical testing using up to two different methods
- Experience maintaining laboratory scale Analytical equipment
- Good verbal communication skills
- Local language: English
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biochemistry or related discipline
