Associate Engineer Job

ASSOCIATE ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in RAHWAY, NJ.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS AN ASSOCIATE ENGINEER SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experience with process scale-up and technology transfer of chemical processes, moving from laboratory to pilot plant and production scale
- Experience with chemical engineering-related technology development in the area of organic chemical synthesis

WHAT WILL THE ASSOCIATE ENGINEER BE DOING:

- Under scientific direction of a project leader, the incumbent will carry out independent research which involves conceiving, designing, planning, and implementing an experimental program aimed at achieving research goals related to process development, technology development, and production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
- This position is largely hands-on with process development and scale-up work performed considering scales ranging from laboratory to commercial manufacturing scale.

WHAT THE ASSOCIATE ENGINEER NEEDS TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Demonstrated capability to develop and execute an experimental program to address issues of process robustness, productivity, and cost, integrating efforts with specialists in other technical disciplines
- Demonstrated proficiency in balancing resource requirements within projects and among multiple assigned projects
- Familiarity with concepts and application of cGMP during pharmaceutical development and production
- Strong communication skills to discuss technical problems, provide oversight to pilot plant operations, and interface with cross-functional colleagues/customers.
- BS Chemical Engineering or any related field required.
