Associate Data Warehouse Developer Job

ASSOCIATE DATA WAREHOUSE DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Charles, MO. Alternate locations are available for this position, and telecommuting from home with a couple of days a month on site will also be considered.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Be a member of the Decision Support team which provides reporting and analytics services to support decision-making across various business areas.
- Assist in leveraging the latest in Business Intelligence and advanced analytics technologies to generate greater insights into customer purchasing patterns.
- Help the team provide a wide variety of services ranging from self-service reporting through advanced analytics project requests.
- Be responsible for working as part of a driven team ensuring existing and new code meets high standards of quality.
- Testing and fixing defects; developing unit tests and test scripts; performing local development builds, application integration builds and code merges; being a key contributor in code reviews; performing unit and integration testing; and planning and coordinating implementation activities.
- Sharpen your critical thinking skills by assisting with the analysis and review of software requirements by attending, or leading design presentations and/or design sessions.
- Help implement complex modules, enhancements, or change requests based on a provided design, and participate in migrating applications to the quality assurance and/or production environment.
- This role will be responsible for overseeing Goldengate, which is used to monitor loads on the network infrastructure.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Must possess one (1) plus years of experience in Data Warehousing and have experience working in a large scale computing and/or networking environment
- Must possess a minimum of one (1) plus years of experience with SQL and the UNIX operating system.
- Qualified applicants must also possess the following skills/competencies:
- Candidate needs to operate from both a big-picture and a tactical viewpoint.
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills for technical and non-technical content.
- Candidate must demonstrate accountability and be willing to serving as part of a support rotation.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge and use of tools such as Tivoli WorkLoad Scheduler, Goldengate, or Informatica is preferred.
