Associate Computer Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Monitors and supports IT infrastructure and applications.
- Assures that all reports are printed properly and completely and that reports requiring decollation or bursting are processed within WIN guidelines.
- Assures that all report output is distributed to the appropriate customer.
- Assists with identification of hardware malfunctions and escalates where appropriate.
- Understands and provides operational support for printers, tape drives and silos.
- Understands the necessary software that provides operational support for print distribution and tape operation.
- Assists IT customers in a professional and courteous manner when required to perform service requests.
- Maintains compliance with operational SOP's and understands system validation requirements.
- Maintains and ensures comprehensive daily status turnover reports.
- Exercises significant individual initiative in resolving all department operational failures.
- Ensures quality by clarifying and completing tasks accurately.
- Follows established procedures in a timely fashion.

SKILLS

Seeking candidates with a solid computer/help desk foundation. Recent college graduates will be considered. Must be self-motivated, take initiative, with the ability to learn new things quickly. MUST have good written and verbal skills and be an effective communicator. Must have High School diploma or Associate's degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field preferred. Prefer Mainframe operator experience of at least one-year
