FRONT DESK BUYER is needed for a 12 month contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Pittsburgh, PA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experience in Procurement, Materials Management, Supply Chain
- Profound financial analysis skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Manage Non-Strategic Spend (tactical spend) by conducting buying for lower dollar/lower risk goods and services as directed by the manager of Purchasing Support and Procurement Excellence and Technology and/or the strategic sourcing managers
- Review pricing, terms and conditions for lower dollar/lower risk contracts, mark up contract, communicate how contract should be processed
- Utilize eSourcing tools where appropriate
- Draft and Negotiate Contract Extensions/Renewals/Amendments for terms
- Work with strategic sourcing managers, legal, external suppliers, etc. to obtain approvals and signature for contracts
- Expedite customer requests to the correct strategic sourcing manager based on an understanding of the contract requirements
- Support contract implementation and compliance
- Assist our internal customers in complying with policies, procedures, guidelines when procuring goods and services.
- Assure quality of Purchase Requisitions by assisting others with or independently processing Purchase Requisitions
- Capture achieved savings in the ProTrack system
- Shift focus from transactional purchasing to value-based procurement
- Strive to capture additional value by providing an effective front desk operation which will support the internal customers and the strategic sourcing teams
- Success will be recognized when target savings are achieved, internal stakeholders are satisfied with the goods and services received and the sourcing teams can focus on strategic projects
- Assist with financial analyses in the development of business cases

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting
- Profound financial analysis skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong commitment to company guidelines and policies
- Experience in Procurement, Materials Management, Supply Chain, etc. is helpful.
