Associate Analytical Scientist - Inhaled Products

We are recruiting for an Associate Analytical Scientist within the area of INHALED DRUG PRODUCTS. You will be participating in developing and performing ANALYTICAL TESTS in inhalation drug product development. The selected candidate will have the opportunity for veritable growth within this R&D department and will contribute to the analytical aspects of drug product development. I am looking for experience in ANALYTICS AND GMP EXPERIENCE WITHIN ANALYTICAL DRUG PRODUCTS.

THIS IS SHORT CONTRACT OF 9 MONTHS WITH POSSIBILITIES OF EXTENSION, BASED IN BASEL.

Main Accountabilities

- Perform scientific experiments and analytical processes for the development of Inhaled drug substances and drug products.
- Perform and document scientific experiments under GMP (ie HPLC/UHPLC, GC and titration analyses for release, retest and stability testing of DS and DP
- Provide GMP compliant documentation and evaluation of raw data and contribute to interpretation of results.
- Provide input to the project team for the selection of next experiments.
- Develop and validate new HPLC/UHPLC, GC and titration methods, optimize existing lab methods and reproduce published methods.
- Actively support the transfer of analytical procedures to CRO's and production sites, including process steering controls
- Keep record of chemicals, intermediates, excipients and solvents within own area of responsibility.
- Contribute to lab procedures, reports, instructions and SOPs.

Minimum requirement

- MSc would be a great advantage
- Adequate scientific or technical knowledge in the analytical area
- Experience in Inhaled Drug Products
- Experience in GMP regulations
- Good knowledge of HPLC/UHPLC, GC and titration analyses,
- Adequate knowledge of software and computer tools (eg Chromeleon and Empower, MS Office).
- No German required, but would be an asset.
