Associate Actuary with AXIS Expertise for Global Insurance Firm

Leading Fortune 500 insurance company has a position available to excel for an experienced associate actuary with AXIS experience.

You will be a member of the Insurance & Wealth Management Actuarial Projections team. Your primary responsibilities include building and maintaining valuations, pricing, and actuarial projection models in AXIS for Insurance products. You will design and implement model controls and management reporting templates. You will be partnering with Risk, Investments, Finance, and Technology functions to ensure internal consistency of actuarial models while building/improving actuarial processes. You will head evaluations of current processes including model input and output procedures to recommend improvements in efficiency or effectiveness, as well as designing and document controls within processes to assure fast and accurate reporting and compliance with actuarial policies and procedures. Researching product features, assumptions, and reporting requirements, as well as writing specifications, test, and implement AXIS modifications as needed. You will also maintain both development and production environments.

Basic Qualifications:

-ASA or New FSA; Member -AmericanAcademyof Actuaries
-5+ years experience in life insurance industry
-BA/BS Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics and/or related major
-Proficiency of GAAP, Statutory and Tax financial reporting requirements and regulations
-Proficiency of Actuarial Modeling Software Packages (AXIS, ALFA, Polysystems, Prophet, Moses)
-Exposure to life insurance, annuities and/or long-term care
-Strong Cash-Flow Testing and/or Projections Experience
-Financial reporting background
-Actuarial pricing experience within the life insurance, disability insurance, health insurance or related field
-Life, reinsurance, LTC, disability financial reporting experience
-Ability to manage the development and maintenance of database for storing and querying Axis output and storing Axis data and models.
-Working knowledge of Economic Capital and Embedded Value
-Knowledge of Market Consistent Embedded Value and IFRS
