Assistant Teacher

Current Opening: Part Time Monday-Friday - $9.50 per hour

FUNdamentals Children's Center is the on-site childcare center for staff at Menorah Park Center for Senior Living.  We are fully licensed and have achieved a Four Star Rating through Step Up to Quality.

The Assistant Teacher is responsible for aiding all teachers in all aspects of classroom management ages 6 weeks - 5 years. This includes working with children on projects and activities, supervising children during work and play activities, helping children with activities of daily living and supervising during nap-time. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Must have experience working in a childcare setting.
- Must have a thorough understanding of childhood development.
- Must relate to children with warmth, affection and consistency.
- Must be able to engage children in appropriate classroom activities.
- Must follow all licensing regulations as stated by the State of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
- Must follow all guidelines as stated by Step Up to Quality.
- Must be willing to take part in in-service training required through out the year.
