Assistant Surveyor

Parity Professionals currently have an opportunity for an Engineering Assistant within a large Public Sector organisation based in Glasgow on an initial 6 month contract, £15 per hour with the prospect of contract being extended.

We are seeking a positive, self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem solving skills to join the team. The successful candidate will play a role in supporting the delivery of a high profile project producing full spectrum asset risk profiles for the business' transmission assets.

The asset profiles will generate pipeline management plans which will promote prioritised capital and operational maintenance programmes as well as risk mitigation and performance enhancement interventions.

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, the key responsibilities of the Assistant Surveyor would include:
- Assist the Senior Surveyor in undertaking field survey of Strategic Water Infrastructure Assets:
- Planning and scheduling of daily field activities to ensure that surveys are carried out in a safe and effective manner.
- Capture key aspects of asset criticality using a range of devices such as tablet, camera and GPS
- Responsibility and maintenance of survey equipment
- Cleansing and formatting of survey data to ensure compliance with project requirements:
- Review survey findings and data with project team
- Work with Operations and Response to understand failure scenarios and develop effective response plans .

Prior experience in the Water industry would be beneficial although not essential. The ideal candidate would possess good knowledge and experience of using of MS Office software such as Word and Excel.

Candidate should be a self-motivated, reliable team player with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively to meet demanding deadlines.
