Projektbeschreibung

Under the supervision of the Inclusion Manager and in collaboration with the Inclusion Assistants and Inclusion Specialist, the Assistant Substitute is responsible for providing consultative support to Board eligible children placed in community child care centers. Under the supervision of the Calico Manager and in collaboration with the classroom staff, the Assistant Substitute is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate activities and supervision to the children in Calico. Must strive to meet the Agency mission and exemplify the Agency's core values.

Evaluation of this position is based primarily on performance of the following essential functions, which include, but are not limited to:

-  Inclusion:  Coaches child care center staff in inclusion implementation strategies developed by Inclusion Specialist to ensure that Board eligible children are included in all aspects of the center's daily routines.
- Inclusion: Coaches child care center staff in incorporating adaptations and problem solving to best serve Board eligible children.
- Inclusion: Maintains documentation related to consultative support provided to Board eligible children.
- Inclusion:  Follows all child care centers policies and procedures regarding emergencies.
- Inclusion:  Collaborate in an effective and professional manner with Inclusion Specialist, child care center staff, community agencies, and families in regard to children's programs, safety and/or health needs.
- Inclusion:  Professionally represents the Agency with interactive communications by and between families, children, community agencies and support personnel.
- Calico:  Assures the safety and well-being of children.
- Calico:  Transports ambulatory and non-ambulatory children throughout the building, to and from the buses and in the community, as required.
- Calico:  Follows weekly schedules and lesson plans.
- Calico:  Maintains classroom and equipment in clean, sanitary, healthful and safe condition.
- Calico:  Maintain order in the classroom and hallways; recognize emergency signals/alarms and assist in quickly evacuating students from the building as needed; and follows prescribed behavioral program.
- Calico:  Works collaboratively with the Calico Staff relating to specific child instruction, classroom procedures, classroom maintenance and monitors the same.
- Follows safety and health rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, OSHA standards.
- Fulfills normal additional duties/responsibilities appropriate for the position and required for the safe operation of the program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - High School diploma or GED equivalent. Additional requirements as necessary to meet current standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and Ohio Department of Education. Minimum of 6 months experience working with children under the age of five (5) in a professional environment.

CREDENTIAL/LICENSE - Must obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.

OTHER - Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work flexible hours.
