are currently looking for an Assistant Scientist to carry out the chemical analysis of environmental samples following specified analytical methods and QA/AQC procedures. You will use the laboratory LIMS system to report results. You will prepare, maintain and calibrate supporting analytical kit.

Essential:
Numerate and computer literate
Competent in working with modern analytical instruments and chemical analysis
Ability to work as part of a team to deliver the core business requirements
Demonstrable experience of having worked in a chemistry or similar laboratory environment, not necessarily post qualification
Understanding of H&S requirements of a laboratory environment
HND/BSc in Scientific Discipline
Basic Disclosure issued in the last 12months

Beneficial:
Preference for a qualification in chemistry or closely related field.
Experience of working in an applied analytical laboratory.
Experience of working in an accredited laboratory.
