Assistant Policy Manager

My exclusive client requires an experienced Assistant Policy Manager to work with the existing operational team to develop modified business process maps/operating procedures.

This will be an initial 6 month+ contract and will be based in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will play a central role in influencing Government to ensure regulations take account of the requirements for effective administration and 'deliverability'.

You will be expected to draft and consult on formal guidance documents - setting out how to administer the regulations in detail, including through stakeholder engagement - and develop policies and procedures related to biomass, renewable heating and pro-thermal panels.

You will be responsible for working with the in-house IT team to specify necessary changes to the bespoke IT system that is used to administer the programme (used by applicants and in-house administration staff alike)

You will be responsible for working with the existing operational team to develop modified business process maps/operating procedures for how members of that team will administer the amended programme on a day-to-day basis once the changes come in.

To be considered for this role you MUST have the following experience:
*A technical/scientific/numerate background;
*Knowledge/track record of working with government legislation and policy implementation;
*Either a scientific background with the ability to input on biomass sustainability criteria knowledge or technical (engineer) with heat measurement and metering knowledge;
*Experience of working within a "project managed" environment;
*Experienced in working with biomass, boilers, renewable heating and pro-thermal panels;
*A sound working knowledge of modern ICT systems.
