Assistant Project Manager - Performance

Assistant Project Managers are required to work amongst one of the biggest aircraft carrier expansion projects in recent years. With the development of the QEC aircraft carrier, T26 destroyers and other supply vessels the UK naval defence market is seeing an area of growth within project and programme management and delivery. We are looking for candidates who have a background in the delivery of large engineering projects.

The role:

+Develop a sound approach to analysing programme performance data, identifying trends and issues and communicating as appropriate

+Supporting finance in developing in year cash profiles and challenging the performance against these

+Challenging return to green/recovery plans from IPs to ensure robustness and ability to achieve

+Responsible for robust and challenged forecasting data enabling appropriate management decisions to be taken

+Ensuring all Performance Management Baseline updates/load files are submitted in a timely manner. Providing direction in terms of adherence to the overall ACA Performance Management Baseline update processes.

+Liaise closely with the ACA functions & IPs particularly with their project controls managers.

+Ensure the Programme Performance Measurement Baseline reflects up-to-date information regarding authorised changes.

You will be involved in the implementation of the Performance Management Baseline, update process across the organisation To manage the collation, validation, processing and archiving of Industrial Participants (I.P.s) baseline (BCWS), status (BCWP) and actual (ACWP) data. In line with the reporting calendar timescales, to ensure the configuration of the Performance Measurement Baseline captures authorised change.

The suitable candidate:
You should have significant experience of operating at different levels within Project Management, with High levels of networking and communication skills used at a senior level with customers, suppliers, partners and sub-contractors being paramount to the role. You should be able to work effectively within a team environment whilst being able to work on your own initiative and a good understanding of commercial, financial and legislative requirements of projects.
