Assistant Management Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join an aquisitive division of our large FTSE100 organisation for a 1 year fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities:

* Assisting in the monthly management accounts process for two reporting segments within the business which consist of a number cost centres including reconciling revenue on the accounting system (SAP) with submissions from cost centres

* Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly rolling forecasts for each cost centre

* Analyse variances in revenue reporting by client - actual against forecast

* Assisting with reporting of accruals, prepayments, provisions, work in progress, aged debtors and deferred income balances.

* Assisting in the preparation of detailed monthly reporting packs for all cost centres and reporting segments managed

Essential Experience/Skills:

The successful candidate will be studying towards or completed the AAT qualification along with medium to large organisation background. Strong IT skills are required including intermediate excel skills (Pivot tables, V lookups)

Strong communication skills are necessary along with good numerical skills Can work as part of a team or on on initiative.

Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable
