This is an exciting opportunity for an assistant manager within a team responsible for monthly MI in commercial banking finance. The Corporate Banking Management Information (CBMI) team is a highly valued team in Commercial banking Finance. Our Primary Focus is the provision of Client Level Financial Management information to the Relationship Managers and Finance Business Partners within the Global Corporate, Financial Institutions and the Mid-market Businesses in Commercial Banking.

Experience using the SAP ledger data and source system feeds through the management of information systems (CBMI) is essential. The system provides monthly client levels MI therefore the candidate is expected to have the ability to perform advanced detailed reconciliations in Excel and Access using strong developed analytical skills

Necessary skills include being a qualified accountant with a proven track record. Previous experience with the source systems of the and processes of the financial institution is also a preferable. The candidate will also have to be flexible with their working hours as the role follows a monthly finance production cycle as such their sill be peak periods of working.

Main responsibilities include the building of relationships with the Business and other parts of Finance. Working with other Finance Teams to understand complex accounting journals and replicating them in the reconciliation. Resolution of queries from the business. Escalating Business issues with the manager as appropriate.

Operational - performing reconciliations and trend analysis on results. Investigating and resolving variances with data suppliers and the businesses. Constant development of the reconciliation in line with the ongoing changes. Technical: Highly numerate. Ability to use Excel and Access databases to an advanced level. Experience of the SQL coding would be an advantage but not essential. Demonstrating outstanding Values and behaviours when working as a team and communicating with the manager.
