Assistant Finance Manager

This role is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Divisional Balance Sheet Reporting team within Commercial Banking Finance Commercial Banking is one of the largest and most diverse areas within Lloyds Banking Group. The Balance Sheet is currently the most high profile area of the Financials and due to the size and media focus is requiring consistently greater insight into the numbers.

Supporting the Manager, the individual will have direct involvement in the following areas and will need to demonstrate an ability to work both autonomously and within a team to produce value-adding & insightful business information:

1.Monthly Lending Reporting:

Analysis on lending is carried out on a monthly basis. Where the system extracts are run through a series of rules which analysis the movements into a number of concise categories. Tasks include.Updating the models each month. Changing and amending the existing models to keep in line with latest information. Creating new models when new data sources are brought into the reporting. Production of the monthly MI, insight & analysis. Liaising with the Finance Business Partners to confirm the correct categorisation. Ad hoc investigation and issue resolution, including responding to queries from Business/Finance

2. Monthly FX Reporting:

consolidation of the foreign currency exposures for all the operating systems across CB.

Tasks include:

Consolidation of the FX returns. Reconciling each return to the ledger to ensure all balances and exposures are captured. Production of the FX pack for distribution to the senior leadership teams. Ensuring the templates are updated to capture the data if the requirements change

There will also be opportunities to assist with bespoke project based work on the Balance Sheet adding insight into the numbers, drawing conclusions from the results and making recommendations where necessary.

Rate including agency/VAT must not exceed £250 p/d
