ASSISTANT FAMILY WORKER

FULL TIME, SECONDMENT/FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 12 MONTHS

ANNUAL SALARY £16,998 - £19,317

CHELMSFORD

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Chelmsford City Council and the Essex Family Solutions Team which delivers targeted early intervention for children and families at risk of not achieving their full potential. The Family Solutions Teams develop and deliver a range of services which enable families to find sustainable solutions to improve their lives.

Along with the general duties (which can be downloaded in the full job details below), the post hold will:

- act as a point of reference between Chelmsford City Council staff and Family Solutions.
- work with all relevant teams and departments in Chelmsford City Council.
- be a conduit for information exchange between Chelmsford City Council and Family Solutions, including promoting understanding of referrals to Family Solutions from Chelmsford City Council staff; and briefing Family Solutions staff on relevant Chelmsford City Council issues and procedures.
- hold regular sessions with teams within Chelmsford City Council, and attend relevant training offered by Chelmsford City Council.
- attend relevant groups and subgroups facilitated by Chelmsford City Council and partners
- assist the team manager in analysing information for families working with Family Solutions in the city and feeding conclusions back to key colleagues in Chelmsford City Council and partner organisations
- be the main point of contact for Family Solutions with social landlords in the city

The post holder will only undertake casework with families living in the Chelmsford City Council area.
