Assistant Design Manager - Construction

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ASSISTANT DESIGN MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION to join our client in Portland, OR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assistant Design Manager will focus on construction projects for semiconductor fabrication facilities including support buildings and systems.
- Assistant Design Manager will interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, and estimating resources, and internal organizations to facilitate facility development efforts.
- Assistant Design Manager will play a supporting role in the planning, coordinating, and managing facilities projects to meet cost, schedule, safety, and technical performance criteria.
- Assistant Design Manager will write and design related change orders and route to design manager (DM) for approval.
- Assistant Design Manager will prepare project indicator/dashboard presentations (pulling consultant generated data, and project engineering team generated data, into the required monthly report out format, for review by the DM).
- Also responsible for verifying design review schedule accuracy, send out notifications of weekly posting. Verify accuracy and completeness of posting of review comments, attendance, and package scores to project share drives.
- Verify accuracy of posting of review and issue-for-construction (IFC) drawings and specs to the shared drive, and verify update of combined "latest" drawings and specs folder.

Duties also include:
Weekly document distribution per DM direction. Post/merge FCL scopes, estimates, and site specific scopes, estimates, as they are completed. Coordinate Design in Parallel activities. Drive Redline and Record Drawings through to completion.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's in Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering or related subject matter.
- MUST have experience with design management of semiconductor fabrication facilities or other large technically complex facilities.
- Experience with construction contract documents required which includes development of design drawings, specifications, requests for proposal, and start-up procedures.
- Must have extensive experience and skill with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- Experience with construction estimating.
- Master's in Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering or related subject matter.
