Assistant Commercial Manager - Prudential, based London, Reading or Craigforth - 6 months

Main Responsibilities

Produce & maintain a business plan for products/funds/projects within assigned portfolio to maximise the end to end value generated for the customer and the business (managing key metrics such as profitability, capital usage, planned margin etc).

Work with the wider business to co-ordinate the management of the end to end delivery and proposition experience (eg product, service, distribution etc) to ensure annual plan expectations are met.

Identify opportunities for improvements to existing products, pricing, operational efficiency, service proposition and distribution proposition to drive greater commercial value and achieve P&L targets and drive these through to delivery.

Experience

Experience in a product development/management environment, within Financial Services/Insurance
Experience of project management
Experience of developing and implementing strategic initiatives
Experience of influencing a broad range of stakeholders from different functions and with sometimes competing interests.
Significant experience within a regulated sales environment

Knowledge

Detailed knowledge of the financial dynamics of products and markets
Working knowledge of a broad range of distribution mechanisms
Working knowledge of operational processes and customer service propositions
Detailed knowledge of financial services, regulatory and legislatory frameworks
Detailed knowledge of industry best practice, good networks/links with external bodies and individuals in the same field.
Detailed knowledge of Prudential products, systems and distribution methods
Understanding of the Statement of Principle and Code of Practice
Detailed knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and competitors
Personal attributes.
