Assistant Business Analyst - Group Operations - Customer Experience - Simplification - Leeds - £280 per day

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

Our client, a leading UK retail bank require the services of an Assistant Business Analyst to work on a simplification programme.

- The programme is focused on improving the customer experience, making it simpler for colleagues and reducing costs. End to end process simplification is one component of the programme looking at optimising our processes across the bank from and End to End perspective. 
- The Process, Routing and People Programme (PRP) is a key programme under End to End Process Simplification.  This  Programme is to act as an enabler for a target operating model based on an increased level of straight-through processing, with an objective to deliver a more consistent customer/colleague experience, as well as a central process management and reporting capability
- Three programmes of work focusing on Process Transformation, Intelligent Workload Routing and People Optimisation of colleague's skills and time have been identified to fulfil both the overall programme's financial benefit targets and to ensure that a Legacy of significant change is left by End to End for the Group.
- We are looking for a Business Analyst to come and join Programme 3 - People Optimisation.  This programme aims to embed a consistent, standard and sustainable cultural shift from where we are today within Group Operations, focusing on things that will make a difference to the customer and colleague, as well as driving out cost efficiencies.  The Programme is spilt into 2 distinct work streams - Service Excellence & Localised Automation.  The BA will be responsible for components within the Localised Automation workstream of the programme, reporting directly to the Lead Business Analyst. 

CORE SKILLS

- Good stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to present factual information to individuals or groups in a structured, clear, confident and concise way
- Engagement with stakeholders to influence and shape the direction of a project to meet set milestones
- Use of established project management methodologies and frameworks, specifically during the Initiation & Study stages of the project life cycle
- Strong project planning skills
- Solid end user computing skills, eg intermediate spreadsheet user or similar
- Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualise it as an automated solution
- Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience
- Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
- The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind
- An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines
- An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error
- A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- The Localised Automation BA will support the delivery of work stream components within Programme 3, ensuring delivery to agreed business plans and costs, quality and timescale objectives, ensuring that the benefits identified in the business case are realised
- Contribute to the research and analysis of the concepts and ideas and review of existing processes, recommending  specific actions
- Complete process assessments for Localised Automation suitability and then document them accordingly
- Develop and maintain effective working and influencing relationships with appropriate colleagues
- Timely and accurate completion of own project deliverables, assessing and managing risks and identifying counter measures.
- Reporting into lead Business Analyst on progress, risks, issues or blockers
- Role is primarily Leeds based with the requirement of regular visits to impacted business units around the country
