Assistant Brewery Engineer

Fixed Term Contract: 6x months
SALARY: Competitive salary plus benefits

This would be an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to gain valuable experience in an interesting and varied role. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering target plant availability within budget on current and new assets whilst ensuring compliance with appropriate group and statutory engineering and safety standards.

The delivery of the site PPM program is critical to the success of this role.

What skills and qualifications will I need?
- You will need to be either a time served engineer or graduate engineer with practical, engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally this will be in liquid processing
- With a sound knowledge of CMMS you will be comfortable with prioritising schedules and amending the frequency of the PM's as required
- You will also need to have experience of coordinating and influencing a team of multi skilled individuals
- With excellent analytical and a pro active approach to problem solving you will also be comfortable communicating at all levels

WHAT KIND OF RESPONSIBILITIES WILL I HAVE?
- Support and manage the activity and workload of all craft personnel and contractors through the Maintenance System, ensuring that all planned works are completed on time to the correct standard
- Plan PM activity for area taking into account capacity planning, legal/statutory, resource (Material and manning) and cost requirements
- Work prioritisation of shift and day based pro-active craft and service personnel
- Monitors delivery of all planned maintenance work and adjusts/modifies the plan accordingly
- Co-ordination and management of corrective works
- The delivery of solutions developed through the engineering tools, TPM managed through the CMMS
- Ensure asset replacement needs for areas of plant for which responsible, are identified and case put forward
- Supports the development and implementation of the infrastructure sustainability programme for Royal Brewery
- Provide expert assistance to plant Production Managers, Team Leaders and Crafts on engineering matters
- Ensure all aspects of engineering legislation are complied with for area of responsibility
- Support the development of operations staff on technical and maintenance ways of work
- Provide guidance and effective communication to site teams and ensure key people are fully engaged
- Support site teams with compliance of health and safety and engineering legislation, S&N quality and HACCP standards
- Ensure safety management of contractors in accordance with H&S legislation and Heineken standards
- Participate in the development and implementation of all capital works within the area of responsibility
